Description:
Chicken fatty acid synthase (FASN) CLIA kit is a CLIA kit assay for the detection of chicken FASN level. The range of the assay is 5.49-4000 pg/mL.
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plate included in this kit is pre-coated with an antibody specific to FASN. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells along with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for FASN. Avidin conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is then added to each microtiter well and incubated. A mixture of substrates A and B is then added. After development, the intensity of luminescence is proportional to the level of FASN in the sample or standard sample.
Background:
FASN is a multifunctional enzyme. In the presence of NADPH, it catalyzes the synthesis of palmitate from acetyl-CoA and malonyl-CoA to long-chain saturated fatty acids.
