Summary: Researchers utilized the MSCV retroviral vector to introduce the Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) gene into three distinct in vitro cell lines (muscle, kidney, and preadipocytes). After confirming functional LPL expression in all cell lines through in vitro experiments, these transfected cells were injected subcutaneously into nude mice to assess their in vivo LPL secretion capacity. Results demonstrated that subcutaneous injection of LPL-overexpressing adipocytes (3T3-L1) significantly increased LPL activity in the adjacent muscle tissue of nude mice.
