Obesity-related Assay Kits
InquiryOverview
The assay Kit is an integrated set of multiple biochemical reagents and tools that are used in the laboratory for qualitative or quantitative detection of specific biomolecules, metabolic processes, or other analytes. These kits have a wide range of applications, especially in the field of obesity research, where they are used to detect obesity-related markers and metabolites, study gene expression, screen new drug candidates, etc., to assist in the diagnosis, treatment research, and prognosis assessment of obesity.
Empower Your Obesity Research Journey with Our Precision Obesity-related Assay Kit
Protheragen offers a wide range of assay kits to help researchers gain insight into the pathogenesis of obesity, evaluate therapeutic efficacy, and screen potential drugs. These kits are based on advanced biotechnologies such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, and are capable of accurately measuring key biomarkers associated with obesity in biological samples such as serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or cell culture supernatants. Detectable biomarkers may include various hormones (e.g., leptin, insulin-like growth factor, lipocalin, resistin, etc.), inflammatory factors (e.g., tumor necrosis factor TNF-α, interleukin IL-6, etc.), fatty acid metabolism, and enzymes.
These kits for obesity research are highly specific, sensitive, and accurate. They are important tools for obesity research, helping to promote in-depth investigation of the pathogenesis of obesity, accurate assessment of treatment effects, and the development of novel therapeutic approaches.
- By using these kits, differences between obese and control samples are analyzed to reveal changes in physiological processes such as metabolism, inflammation, adipocyte proliferation, and differentiation associated with obesity.
- In addition, these kits effectively accelerate the screening of anti-obesity drug candidates with weight loss effects and improved metabolism, speeding up the new drug development process.
- Meanwhile, they are also used to monitor metabolic changes in obesity models after drug treatment or other therapeutic interventions, assess the therapeutic effects, and provide a scientific basis for developing personalized therapeutic regimens.

Applications of Our Assay Kits
- Assay kits are widely used to assess the metabolic status of different samples. By measuring the concentration of lipids such as fatty acids, triglycerides, cholesterol, etc., it is possible to analyze the presence of disorders of lipid metabolism.
- The assay kits are also used to study the function of adipocytes. For example, by detecting hormones secreted by adipocytes such as leptin and insulin-like growth factor, it is possible to understand the role of these hormones in regulating appetite, energy expenditure, and fat storage.
- Assay kits also play an important role in obesity drug development. Researchers can utilize these kits to screen drug candidates with weight loss effects.
- Utilizing assay kits to detect obesity-related markers provides valid information for evaluating anti-obesity therapies.
- Assay kits have also been used to explore the genetic mechanisms of obesity. By detecting the expression levels of obesity-related genes, researchers can understand the role of genetic factors in the pathogenesis of obesity, providing a scientific basis for the development of personalized weight-loss strategies and the prevention of obesity.
Advantages of Our Assay Kits

Results: This study involved the use of kits to assay obesity-related metabolism and antioxidant capacity. Obesity is usually accompanied by increased serum glucose and lipids, decreased antioxidant capacity, and downregulation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor γ coactivator-1α (PGC-1α). In the present study, the researchers examined the changes of PCG-1α, superoxide dismutase (SOD), etc., in the liver of Rattus norvegicus induced by high-fat and high-cholesterol diets after Caulerpa lentillifera treatment using relevant kits. Results found sea grape extract increased PCG-1α levels and showed favorable benefits in terms of antihyperglycemia, reduction of oxidative stress regulation of metabolic provision.
