Obesity-related Active Molecules
InquiryHighly Active Molecules to Advance Your Research in Obesity
Protheragen provides our clients around the world with molecules of known biological activity, such as some of the classical active molecules with well-defined targets. Our highly bioactive and chemically diverse molecules are used in the fields of obesity drug repositioning, target identification, pharmacological studies, and cellular induction.

Obesity-related Natural Products
The natural products we offer mainly refer to active ingredients extracted from nature that have weight loss or metabolism-regulating effects. These ingredients are usually derived from plants, animals, or microorganisms and are characterized by relative safety and few side effects.

Obesity-related Inhibitors and Agonists
Inhibitors and agonists are chemical molecules that regulate specific biological processes or signaling pathways that affect the onset and progression of obesity by inhibiting or activating specific enzymes, receptors, or signaling molecules.

Obesity-related Isotope Markers
Our company provides stable isotope-labeled molecules that are used to track the origin, destination, and rate of metabolism of fat molecules, thus providing insight into the pathogenesis of obesity. The isotope markers we offer are non-radiolabeled substances, and these isotope-labeled products are easier to detect by mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR).

Results: .In this study, researchers investigated the effects of siRNA-mediated knockdown and KHK inhibitors on fructose metabolism. Fructose metabolism was significantly inhibited in the livers of KHK knockdown mice, which was characterized by an increase in hepatic glycogen accumulation. The reason for the different effects of KHK knockdown and inhibitor treatments on fructose metabolism may be related to the critical role of KHK in fructose metabolism and its interaction with other metabolic pathways.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
How to test the quality and purity of the active molecule?
Quality testing relies heavily on MS to determine molecular weight and NMR to analyze molecular structure. For purity testing, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), electrophoretic analysis, and specific assays for certain molecules are commonly used. If a client requires a specific test report, we offer individual characterization services.
