Other Kits for Obesity Research
InquiryCutting-Edge Technology, Empowering Breakthroughs in Obesity Research
Protheragen is committed to providing researchers around the world with state-of-the-art, high-quality tools and reagents to gain insight into the complex mechanisms of obesity and to develop innovative treatment and prevention strategies. We understand that obesity is a multifactorial and complex disease that requires multifaceted and in-depth research. Therefore, we have carefully designed a series of obesity research kits to meet your unique needs in different research directions and help you achieve breakthroughs.
The key feature of these kits is that they fill the gaps left by generic or commonly used types of assays, providing researchers with the tools they need to address obesity-related research questions. Areas of application for the kits include signaling pathway analysis, among others:
- Signaling pathway analysis: The complex pathophysiology of obesity and its associated complications involves multiple signaling pathways. For example, the PI3K/AKT pathway is closely linked to insulin signaling, plays an important role in the regulation of metabolic homeostasis, and is associated with obesity. To better understand the mechanisms of obesity-related complications and thus develop targeted therapies, in-depth studies of signaling pathways are essential. In addition to our wide range of ELISA Kit products, we offer a range of assay kits targeting specific signaling pathways for more in-depth research needs.
- Other types: Obesity, as a complex disease, involves multiple factors in its pathogenesis, such as mitochondrial dysfunction, which is an important contributor to its associated metabolic complications. In-depth analysis of these factors is essential to unravel the underlying mechanisms of obesity and develop effective targeted therapies. We are committed to supporting comprehensive research on obesity mechanisms and anti-obesity therapies by providing a wide range of products and services, including protein extraction kits, mitochondrial function analysis, etc.
Applications
- Explore the pathogenesis of obesity: High-quality kits are used to accurately measure key biomarkers, analyze cell and tissue function, and thus advance obesity research.
- Finding new therapeutic targets: By analyzing signaling pathways, metabolism, etc., it is expected to find new and potential targets for obesity treatment.
- Evaluating interventions: Our kits provide key analytical tools for evaluating the effectiveness of various anti-obesity interventions.
Advantages
- High quality assurance: All our kits for obesity research undergo strict quality control to ensure high sensitivity, high specificity, and reliable results.
- Innovative technology: We are constantly developing and optimizing our products with the latest science and technology to help you stay at the forefront of obesity research.
- Flexible product selection: We offer a wide range of sizes and types of kits to meet the needs of obesity research at different scales.

Obesity is associated with insulin resistance. Bariatric surgery improves mitochondrial respiratory function and insulin sensitivity in obese patients and has broad applications in the treatment of obesity. Investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying the significant improvements seen after bariatric surgery is essential. This study examined the impact of bariatric surgery on insulin sensitivity, metabolic changes, and plasma cell-free (cf) mitochondrial DNA (cf-mtDNA) in obese patients. While bariatric surgery improved insulin sensitivity and other metabolic parameters, no significant changes were observed in plasma short cf-mtDNA or levels in obese patients before and after surgery compared to healthy controls.

Mitochondrial dysfunction is a causative factor in obesity-associated insulin resistance. This study not only provides a potential molecular mechanism for the metabolic effects of bariatric surgery but also indirectly demonstrates the role of the kit in anti-obesity research.
