Product Overview

Description: AdipoUpX™ Human BBS9 MSCV Particle (Overexpression) is a professionally engineered vector particle providing efficient and stable overexpression of human BBS9. This protein is a central structural subunit of the BBSome, and its stable expression is vital for researching the genetic mechanisms of weight regulation. The MSCV system is uniquely suited for driving strong gene integration in stem cells and other mammalian lineages, facilitating the establishment of reliable, stable cell lines. All viral systems undergo rigorous testing to ensure quality, supporting flexible selection of reporter genes.
Production Cell Line: HEK293T
Promoter: Ubi; CMV; EF1a; Others
Product Availability: Produced Upon Order

Specification

Titer Test: qPCR
Insert Verification: Final QC confirmed the correct molecular size and integrity of the insert through specific PCR amplification.
Sterility Test: No microbial contamination was detected in any product.
Mycoplasma Test: No mycoplasma presence was detected in this final viral preparation upon comprehensive testing.
Other QC: Our service scope includes both customized supplementary testing and comprehensive in vitro/in vivo transduction assessments.
Storage: The necessity of immediate transfer to -80 °C storage following receipt is crucial for upholding the product's integrity.
Stability: Biological activity remains intact for 6-12 months when stored at -80°C. Once removed from the freezer, the diluted working material is stable for up to 2-3 weeks at 4°C.
Shipping Condition: Our MSCV retroviral products are shipped using dry ice.
Handling Notes: Store the vector according to specified conditions and aliquot it immediately upon receipt into low-protein-binding tubes, which is necessary to maintain titer because viral particles are highly sensitive to both temperature fluctuations and freeze-thaw cycles.
Intended Use: This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnosis or therapeutic applications.
Product Disclaimer: Throughout all operational processes, users bear ultimate responsibility for product storage, handling, and compliance with all safety protocols, laws, regulations, and biosafety requirements. Although our company commits to product quality via rigorous internal QC inspections, the complexity of experimental conditions means we cannot guarantee product performance or experimental results in any specific application.

Target Profile

Gene Name: BBS9
Full Name: Bardet-Biedl syndrome 9
Gene Symbol: B1; D1; C18; PTHB1
Gene ID: 27241
RefSeq ID-1: NP_001028776.1
RefSeq ID-2: NM_001033604.2
Summary: BBS9 (formerly known as PTHB1) encodes a core subunit of the BBSome complex. While it was originally identified as a gene downregulated by parathyroid hormone in bone cells, its most critical biological role is in ciliary protein trafficking. Mutations in BBS9 result in Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, leading to disrupted signaling in the brain's hunger centers. This disruption results in morbid obesity and other systemic issues, demonstrating that BBS9 is a necessary component for the "molecular post office" that moves receptors to the cell's antenna (the cilium).
