Product Overview

Description: AdipoUpX™ Human LIPE Ad5 Adenoviral Particle (Overexpression) is a ready-to-use Ad5 adenovirus vector particle designed for the efficient transient overexpression of the human LIPE (Hormone-Sensitive Lipase) gene. This product facilitates investigation into the mobilization of stored fats. It enables rapid cellular validation of how LIPE activity affects the release of free fatty acids from lipid droplets in response to hormonal cues.
Production Cell Line: HEK293
Viral Backbone: Adenovirus type5 (dE1/E3)
Promoter: CMV
Product Availability: Produced Upon Order

Specification

Titer Test: qPCR
Insert Verification: All viral preparations have been validated via PCR to confirm the integrity of their vector genomes.
Sterility Test: This product was confirmed to be sterile upon testing.
Mycoplasma Test: This product has passed quality control, confirming that it is free of mycoplasma contamination.
Other QC: We perform customized supplementary testing and in vitro/in vivo transduction assessments based on specific project requirements to analyze the expression levels and biological functions of transgenes.
Storage: Upon receipt of viral preparations, they must be immediately transferred to a -80°C environment for long-term storage.
Stability: The product guarantees excellent stability for 6-12 months when stored continuously at -80°C (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Upon thawing, the working solution is refrigerated at 4°C for up to 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
Shipping Condition: Our adenovirus viral products are shipped using dry ice.
Handling Notes: Viral particles are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and freeze-thaw cycles. To maintain titer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, it is recommended to aliquot the vector immediately upon receipt into low-protein-binding tubes and store according to specified conditions. Ensure all operations are performed within a biosafety cabinet.
Intended Use: This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnosis or therapeutic applications.
Product Disclaimer: Our company is committed to product quality, and all products have undergone rigorous internal QC inspections. Given the diversity and complexity of experimental conditions, we do not guarantee product performance or experimental results in any specific application. Users bear ultimate responsibility for product storage, handling, and compliance with all safety protocols, laws, regulations, and biosafety requirements throughout all operational processes.

Target Profile

Gene Name: LIPE
Full Name: Lipase E, hormone sensitive type
Gene Symbol: HSL; LHS; REH; AOMS4; FPLD6
Gene ID: 3991
RefSeq ID-1: NP_001403032.1
RefSeq ID-2: NM_001416103.1
Summary: LIPE encodes hormone-sensitive lipase, a key enzyme in lipid mobilization, which exists as long and short isoforms generated by alternative translational start sites. The long isoform is predominantly expressed in steroidogenic tissues, where it hydrolyzes cholesteryl esters to supply free cholesterol for steroid hormone synthesis. The short isoform is mainly expressed in adipose tissue and catalyzes the breakdown of stored triglycerides into free fatty acids, playing a central role in energy homeostasis.
