Product Overview
Description:
MCTR3 is a macrophage-derived specialized pro-resolving mediator biosynthesized from docosahexaenoic acid through a coordinated enzymatic cascade involving maresin 1, MCTR1, and MCTR2 intermediates. This bioactive sulfidoconjugated lipid mediator functions as a master regulator of host immune responses, driving tissue regeneration, blocking pathogenic neutrophil infiltration, accelerating the resolution phase of acute peritonitis, and downregulating pro-inflammatory eicosanoids while actively augmenting macrophage phagocytosis.
