Product Overview
Description:
C22 Phytoceramide is a structurally defined sphingolipid species characterized by a long-chain saturated C22 acyl group attached to a phytosphingosine backbone. Natively isolated and mapped across diverse botanical and mammalian systems, this complex sphingolipid has been identified as a significant constituent within the structural peel extracts of Moro blood orange (Citrus sinensis) and has been successfully mapped within primary human astrocyte cultures to support sphingolipidomic cell-membrane research.
