Product Overview
Description:
Arachidonoyl p-nitroaniline is a synthetic nitroaniline fatty acid amide engineered as a colorimetric kinetic substrate for assessing fatty acid amide hydrolase activity. Leveraging the relatively broad tolerance of this enzyme for diverse non-ethanolamine amide headgroups and truncated or saturated fatty acyl chains compared to nominal endogenous ligands, enzymatic cleavage of this probe releases free p-nitroaniline dyes, enabling high-throughput photometric quantification of enzyme velocity.
