Product Overview
Description:
16:0-18:1 Tempo PC is a spin-labeled zwitterionic phosphatidylcholine derivative incorporating a stable nitroxide TEMPO free radical group covalently linked to the polar headgroup architecture, alongside an asymmetric hydrophobic core of 16:0 palmitoyl and 18:1 oleoyl chains. The unpaired electron localized at the lipid-water interface provides an exceptionally sensitive magnetic reporter probe, allowing for the direct measurement of surface electrostatic potentials, local hydration kinetics, and rotational diffusion rates via electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy.
Synonyms:
1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho(tempo)choline; 1-Piperidinyloxy,4-[[(7R,17Z)-4-hydroxy-4-oxido-9-oxo-7-[[(1-oxohexadecyl)oxy]methyl]-3,5,8-trioxa-4-phosphahexacos-17-en-1-yl]dimethylammonio]-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-,innersalt
