Product Overview
Description:
(±)14(15)-DiHETE is an oxygenated lipid metabolite derived from the omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid eicosapentaenoic acid. Its formation occurs via regional cytochrome P450-mediated epoxidation of the fatty acid backbone to form an intermediate epoxide, which is subsequently converted into the corresponding vicinal diol by the action of soluble epoxide hydrolases.
Synonyms:
(±)14,15-dihydroxy-5Z,8Z,11Z,17Z-eicosatetraenoic acid; (±)14,15-dihydroxy-eicosa-5,8,11,17-Tetraenoic Acid
