Product Overview

Description: Campesterol-d7 is an isotope-labeled phytosterol intended for use as an analytical internal standard for the mass spectrometry-based quantification (GC- or LC-MS) of campesterol. Campesterol is a plant-derived sterol identified in Datura innoxia that exhibits diverse biological properties, including the capacity to act as a marker for intestinal cholesterol absorption in humans, inhibit basic FGF-induced proliferation and capillary vessel formation in HUVECs at concentrations of 1, 5, or 10 µM, suppress MCF-7 and ZR-75-1 breast cancer cell proliferation at 15 µM, and significantly reduce estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) levels as well as the overall diameter of patient-derived breast cancer organoids when applied at 10 µM.
Labeling: Stable isotope-labeled
Synonyms: (3β,24ξ)-ergost-5-en-25,26,26,26,27,27,27-d7-3-ol; (24Rac)-Campesterol-d7; 2483832-11-5; 5-Cholesten-24(RS)-methyl-3beta-ol-25,26,26,26,27,27,27-d7; 5-Cholesten-24(RS)-methyl-d3-3ss-ol-d7; (24Rac)-Campesterol-d7(Mixture of Diastereomers)

Specification

Solubility in Other Solvents: Soluble in ethyl acetate.
Storage: Storage at -20°C.
Applications: Campesterol-d7 serves as a stable isotope-labeled phytosterol reference standard for quantitative analysis of plant sterol profiles. It supports isotope dilution lipidomics, mass spectrometry-based sterol identification, and analytical method development for characterization of phytosterol metabolism.
