Product Overview
Description:
L-Lactate assay kit (Fluorometric) is a metabolic assay kit for the rapid and sensitive detection of L-lactate. The detection limit is 1 μM.
Assay Principle:
Based on the lactate oxidation reaction catalyzed by lactate dehydrogenase, the NADH formed in the reaction reduces the probe to a highly fluorescent product. The fluorescence intensity of this product is measured at Ex/Em = 530/585 nm and is proportional to the concentration of lactic acid in the sample.
Background:
Under hypoxic or anaerobic conditions, lactate is produced by lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). Therefore, monitoring lactate levels is a good indicator of the balance between tissue oxygen demand and utilization, and is useful in the study of cellular and animal physiology.
Synonyms:
L-Lactic acid; (S)-2-hydroxypropanoate
Applications:
L-Lactate assay kit (Fluorometric) is used for quantitative determination of L-lactate (L-lactic acid) and evaluation of drug effects on its metabolism.
