AdipoUpX™ Human MAP3K8 MMLV Particle (Overexpression) is a high-titer, ready-to-use MMLV retroviral particle professionally engineered for the stable overexpression of the human MAP3K8 gene. MAP3K8 is a MAP kinase kinase kinase involved in inflammatory signaling pathways that intersect with insulin resistance and metabolic stress responses. Stable integration enables long-term studies of inflammation-driven metabolic dysfunction in dividing cells. Summary:
MAP3K8 encodes a cytoplasmic serine/threonine kinase that functions as a signaling mediator within MAPK and JNK pathways. It can activate IκB kinases, leading to downstream NF-κB signaling and transcriptional activation of inflammatory genes. The protein also contributes to cytokine production, including TNF-α and IL-2, during T-cell activation. In addition to the full-length form, an alternative translation initiation site may generate a shorter isoform with reduced transforming activity. Multiple transcript variants have been reported.
