Product Overview

Description: AdipoUpX™ Human PYY AAV Particle (Overexpression) is engineered for in vivo functional validation, achieving stable expression of the human PYY gene. This gut-derived hormone is critical for investigating post-prandial satiety signaling via the Y2 receptor. Clients can freely select from multiple AAV serotypes and promoters for precise targeted delivery. Comprehensive quality control is performed on all viral particle products, including titer and sterility testing.

Summary: PYY encodes a peptide hormone belonging to the neuropeptide Y (NPY) family. The precursor protein is proteolytically processed to yield two peptide forms that differ by three amino acids. Secreted by endocrine cells in the gut, these peptides bind to NPY receptors with distinct affinities and regulate pancreatic secretion, gastrointestinal motility, and energy homeostasis. Rare variants in PYY may increase susceptibility to obesity, and elevated circulating levels have been associated with anorexia nervosa.
