Product Overview
Description:
Rat estrogen (E) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of E in rat. The kit is highly specific and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
An antibody specific for E has been pre-coated onto the microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any E will be bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for E is added to the wells. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is developed proportionally to the amount of E bound in the first step. The color development is stopped, and the color intensity is measured.
Background:
Estrogen is a steroid hormone primarily known as the main female sex hormone, crucial for reproductive development and function, though it also influences many other tissues and processes in both men and women.
Synonyms:
Oestrogen
