Product Overview
Description:
Mouse SH2B adapter protein 1 (SH2B1) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of SH2B1 in mouse samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on SH2B1 antibody-SH2B1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SH2B1 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
SH2B1 is an intracellular signaling adaptor protein. Its core function is to act as a signal amplifier for key metabolic hormone receptors such as insulin, leptin, and growth hormone, enhancing the activity of JAK2 and IRS proteins to sensitize downstream signaling pathways. As a pivotal hub in metabolic regulation, common variants in the SH2B1 gene are strongly associated with human obesity and insulin resistance, making it a core molecular target for studying the pathophysiology of obesity.
Synonyms:
Pro-rich; PH and SH2 domain-containing signaling mediator (PSM); SH2 domain-containing protein 1B; KIAA1299, SH2B
Applications:
Mouse SH2B adapter protein 1 (SH2B1) ELISA kit is used to quantify SH2B1 in mouse samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including neuroendocrinology, metabolism, cell growth and proliferation, and others.
