Product Overview
Description:
Bovine butyrylcholinesterase (BCHE) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of BCHE in bovine with a range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a specificity of up to 0.06 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The pre-coated antibody is a bovine BCHE monoclonal antibody, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. The samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells. The reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by peroxidase and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
BCHE is a non-specific cholinesterase that has broad substrate specificity and is involved in detoxification reactions, drug metabolism, among other processes.
Synonyms:
BuChE; CHE1; E1; Pseudocholinesterase; Cholinesterase; Acylcholine acylhydrolase; Butyrylcholine esterase; Choline esterase II; EC 3.1.1.8
