Product Overview
Description:
Hamster C-reactive protein (CRP) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CRP in hamster with a range of 7-1500 ng/mL and a specificity of 4.16 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
Microtiter plate pre-coated with hamster CRP antibody. CRP added to the sample binds to the antibody coated on the wells. Biotinylated hamster CRP antibody is then added and binds to the CRP in the sample. Streptavidin-HRP is then added to bind to the biotinylated CRP antibody. After incubation, unbound streptavidin-HRP is washed out in the wash step. The substrate solution is then added, and color is developed in proportion to the hamster CRP content. The reaction is terminated by the addition of an acidic termination solution, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
Background:
CRP is an acute-phase protein of hepatic origin, whose circulating concentrations rise in response to inflammation. It is considered a key plasma protein that can bind to Leptin, and its potential role in regulating leptin's function in obesity is crucial.
Synonyms:
Pentraxin-related; pentraxin 1; C-RP; PTX1
Applications:
Hamster C-reactive protein (CRP) ELISA kit is used to quantify CRP in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, ascites, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluid samples of hamster, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
