Product Overview
Description:
Human N-acyl-phosphatidylethanolamine-hydrolyzing phospholipase D (NAPEPLD) ELISA kit (0.625-20 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of NAPEPLD in human samples with a range of 0.625-20 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on NAPEPLD antibody-NAPEPLD antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect NAPEPLD antigen targets in samples.
Background:
NAPEPLD is a phospholipase D and a key rate-limiting enzyme in the endogenous cannabinoid synthesis pathway. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a central and peripheral regulatory system governing appetite, lipid synthesis, and energy balance. Endocannabinoids produced by NAPEPLD activate CB1 receptors, typically leading to increased appetite and enhanced lipogenesis. Thus, NAPEPLD is a key enzyme in lipid metabolism pathways influencing the obesity process.
Synonyms:
NAPE-PLD; N-acyl phosphatidylethanolamine phospholipase D; NAPE-PLD; NAPE-hydrolyzing phospholipase D
