Product Overview
Description:
Human chymotrypsinogen B2 (CTRB2) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CTRB2 in human with a range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a specificity of 0.62 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plate provided in this kit is pre-coated with an antibody specific for CTRB2. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells along with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CTRB2. Avidin conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is then added to each microplate well and incubated. Upon addition of TMB substrate solution, only wells containing CTRB2, biotin-conjugated antibody, and enzyme-conjugated avidin will show a color change. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulfuric acid solution, and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The concentration of CTRB2 in the sample is then determined by comparing the OD of the sample to a standard curve.
Background:
CTRB2 is a zymogen produced in the pancreas that is activated in the small intestine to form chymotrypsin B, an enzyme involved in protein digestion.
Synonyms:
Chymotrypsin B2 chain C
Applications:
Human chymotrypsinogen B2 (CTRB2) ELISA kit is used to quantify CTRB2 in serum, plasma, and other biological fluid samples of human, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
