Description: Guinea pig anti-growth hormone antibody ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of anti-growth hormone antibody in guinea pig samples with a range of 250-5000 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 1.0 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.

Assay Principle: This kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate is pre-coated with growth hormone (GH) antigen. During the assay, anti-GH antibodies in the samples or standards compete with a fixed amount of HRP-conjugated anti-GH for a limited number of binding sites on the immobilized antigen. After a one-hour incubation, the wells are decanted and washed five times to remove unbound reagents. A TMB substrate solution is then added; the HRP enzyme catalyzes the substrate to produce a blue-colored product, which turns yellow upon the addition of an acidic stop solution. The optical density (O.D.) is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm. Since the sample antibodies and the HRP-conjugate compete for the same binding sites, the intensity of the color development is inversely proportional to the concentration of anti-GH in the sample. A standard curve is constructed, and the concentration of anti-GH in unknown samples is determined by interpolation.
