Description: Rabbit very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR) ELISA kit-Quantitative competitive is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of VLDLR in rabbit samples with a range of 2.5-50 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.

Assay Principle: The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on VLDLR antibody-VLDLR antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect VLDLR antigen targets in samples.

Background: VLDLR, situated at chromosomal location 9p24, is a multifunctional transmembrane receptor essential for the clathrin-mediated endocytosis of VLDL and the orchestration of Reelin-driven signaling pathways during nervous system development. While its genetic defects are primarily linked to CMARQ1, characterized by cerebellar hypoplasia and developmental delays, its metabolic role is critical for lipid transport and systemic cholesterol homeostasis.
