Product Overview
Description:
Rat visfatin (VF) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of VF in rat samples with a range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of <0.55 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-immobilized with an antibody specific to VF. Standards or samples are introduced into the designated microtiter wells along with a biotin-conjugated detection antibody preparation specific for VF. Subsequently, Avidin-conjugated HRP is added to each microplate well and incubated. Following the addition of TMB substrate solution, only wells containing VF, the biotinylated antibody, and the enzyme-conjugated Avidin will demonstrate a change in color. The enzymatic reaction is terminated by a sulphuric acid solution, and the color change is recorded at 450 nm ± 10 nm. The final concentration of VF in the samples is determined by mapping the O.D. values against the established standard curve.
Background:
Visfatin (VF) is a secreted adipokine and intracellular enzyme involved in nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) biosynthesis. It plays a role in regulating glucose metabolism, insulin secretion, and inflammatory responses, and is expressed in adipose tissue as well as other organs. By linking metabolic and inflammatory pathways, visfatin contributes to the maintenance of energy homeostasis and cellular function.
Synonyms:
Pre-B-cell colony enhancing factor; Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase; Nampt; NAmPRTase; PBEF; PBEF1
Applications:
Rat visfatin (VF) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is used to quantify VF in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids of rats, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, cardiovascular biology, hepatology, obesity, and others.
