Product Overview
Description:
Rat acyl-CoA synthetase medium-chain family member 3 (ACSM3) ELISA kit is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing rat ACSM3 levels. This kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity.
Assay Principle:
The kit utilizes a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantify ACSM3 in the sample. An antibody specific for ACSM3 has been pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any ACSM3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removal of unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ACSM3 is added to the wells. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated HRP is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is then developed proportionally to the amount of ACSM3 bound in the first step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background:
ACSM3 belongs to a family of ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzymes with broad substrate specificity and is involved in processes such as fatty acid biosynthesis.
Synonyms:
Acyl-CoA synthetase medium-chain family member 3; MACS3; EC 6.2.1.2
