Product Overview
Description:
Mouse transferrin receptor protein 1 (TfR1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of TfR1 in mouse samples with a range of 0.78-50 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.395 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on TfR1 antibody-TfR1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TfR1 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
Transferrin Receptor 1 (TfR1) is a ubiquitously expressed cell surface glycoprotein whose primary function is to mediate the endocytic uptake of iron in the form of transferrin. TfR1 expression levels correlate positively with cellular iron demand. It exerts effects on iron homeostasis and inflammation and exhibits an association with obesity.
Synonyms:
Cluster of differentiation 71; CD71; TFRC; CD71; T9; TFR; TR; TRFR
Applications:
Mouse transferrin receptor protein 1 (TfR1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is used to quantify TfR1 in mouse samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including Iron metabolism and homeostasis, immunology and inflammation, and others.
