Product Overview

Description: Mouse glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of GLP-2 in mouse samples with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.05 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle: This assay utilizes a double-sandwich ELISA format. The microplate is pre-coated with a mouse GLP-2 monoclonal antibody, while a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody serves as the detection antibody. After adding samples and the detection antibody, wells are washed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are introduced, followed by a final wash and the addition of TMB substrate. The resulting color change from blue to yellow is measured, with the color intensity being positively correlated to the concentration of mouse GLP-2.
Background: GLP-2, as an incretin, primarily functions to promote intestinal growth and nutrient absorption. Recent studies have revealed that GLP-2's association with obesity primarily manifests through its regulatory effects on intestinal barrier function and the gut microbiome. By improving gut health, GLP-2 may indirectly influence metabolism. Furthermore, ongoing research is exploring the potential applications of GLP-2 and its analogues in regulating fat metabolism and energy expenditure, offering new avenues for obesity treatment.
Synonyms: Glp2; GLP2
Applications: Mouse glucagon-like peptide 2 (GLP-2) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is used to quantify GLP-2 in serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatant of mouse, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including metabolism, endocrinology, cardiovascular biology, obesity, and others.
