Description: Mouse fibroblast growth factor 21 (FGF21) ELISA kit (31.25-2000 pg/mL, 7.8 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of FGF21 in mouse samples with a range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 7.8 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.

Assay Principle: This assay employs a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. A specific antibody for FGF21 is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, where any FGF21 present is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing away unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated detection antibody specific for FGF21 is added. Following another wash, avidin-HRP is introduced. After a final wash, a substrate solution is added; color develops in direct proportion to the amount of FGF21 initially bound. The reaction is stopped, and the color intensity is measured.

It belongs to the fibroblast growth factor family but functions differently from traditional growth factors.
