Product Overview
Description:
Mouse endothelial lipase (EL) ELISA kit (1.563-100 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of EL in mouse with a range of 1.563-100 ng/mL and a specificity of 0.938 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The anti-mouse EL antibody is pre-coated onto a 96-well plate. Biotin-conjugated anti-mouse EL antibody is then used as the detection antibody. Standards, test samples, and biotin-conjugated detection antibodies are then added to the wells and washed with buffer. HRP-Streptavidin is added, and the unbound conjugate is washed away with washing solution. TMB substrate is used to observe the HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB produces a blue product catalyzed by HRP, which turns yellow upon addition of an acidic termination solution. The density of the yellow color is proportional to the amount of mouse EL sample captured in the plate. The concentration of mouse EL can be calculated by reading the absorbance of the external standard method at 450nm with a microplate reader.
Background:
EL has phospholipase and triglyceride lipase activity and is involved in many biological processes. It may be involved in lipoprotein metabolism and vascular biology.
