LipoKnoxa™ Human IL13 shRNA AAV Particle (Silencing) targets interleukin-13, a cytokine involved in type 2 immunity and metabolic regulation in the liver and fat. By utilizing our dual-strategy platform (U6 and miR30 systems), researchers can explore its role in alternative macrophage activation and insulin sensitivity. Multiple AAV serotypes are available for selection. Every batch is subjected to rigorous QC, including functional titer and sterility testing, to guarantee the highest level of biosafety.

Summary:
IL13 encodes a Th2-derived immunoregulatory cytokine that plays important roles in B-cell maturation and differentiation. It enhances CD23 and MHC class II expression and promotes immunoglobulin E (IgE) class switching in B cells. IL13 also suppresses macrophage activation, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. While IL13 is a key mediator in allergen-induced asthma through IgE-independent mechanisms, it also contributes to immune regulation within adipose tissue. Altered IL13 signaling may influence obesity-associated inflammation and metabolic dysfunction. IL13 is located within a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q, in close proximity to IL4.
