Product Overview
Description:
Human medium-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (ACADM) ELISA kit (200-3.12 ng/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ACADM levels with a detection range of 200-3.12 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.6 ng/mL. This kit has high sensitivity and specificity.
Assay Principle:
A double sandwich elution technique is used in this experiment. The pre-coated antibody is a monoclonal antibody to human ACADM, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. The samples and biotin-labeled antibody are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells; the reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate. TMB turns blue when catalyzed by peroxidase and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
ACADM is an enzyme that catalyzes the first step of mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation. It may serve as a target to regulate fatty acid metabolism for the treatment of obesity, cancer, and other related diseases.
Synonyms:
MCAD; Medium-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase; M-CAD; MCADH; Medium-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial; EC 1.3.8.7
