Product Overview
Description:
Canine C-reactive protein (CRP) ELISA kit (0.156-10 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CRP in canine with a range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a specificity of up to 0.05 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The pre-coated antibody is a monoclonal antibody to canine CRP, and the detection antibody is a biotin-labeled polyclonal antibody. Samples and biotin-labeled antibodies are added to the ELISA plate wells and rinsed with PBS or TBS. Avidin-peroxidase conjugate is then sequentially added to the ELISA wells; the reactants are thoroughly rinsed with PBS or TBS and then colored with TMB substrate; TMB turns blue under the catalysis of peroxidase, and finally turns yellow in the presence of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with the detection factor in the sample.
Background:
CRP is an acute-phase protein of hepatic origin, whose circulating concentrations rise in response to inflammation. It is considered a key plasma protein that can bind to Leptin, and its potential role in regulating leptin's function in obesity is crucial.
Synonyms:
Pentraxin-related; pentraxin 1; C-RP; PTX1
