Product Overview
Description:
Human apolipoprotein C-III (apo-CIII) ELISA kit (7.813-500 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of apo-CIII in human with a range of 7.813-500 ng/mL and a specificity of 4.688 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The micro ELISA plates in this kit are pre-coated with an antibody specific for Human Apo-CIII. Standards or samples are added to the corresponding wells of the Micro ELISA plate and bound to the specific antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody specific for human Apo-CIII and avidin-horseradish peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are then added sequentially to each microplate well and incubated. The free components are washed away. Substrate solution is added to each well. Only wells containing human Apo-CIII, biotinylated detection antibody, and avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue. Upon addition of sulfuric acid solution, the enzyme-substrate reaction terminates, and the color turns yellow. Optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at 450 nm ± 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human Apo-CIII. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Apo-CIII. The concentration of Apo-CIII in the sample can be calculated by comparing the OD value with the standard curve.
Background:
Apolipoprotein C-III is secreted by the liver and small intestine. It is a very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) protein that inhibits lipoprotein lipase and hepatic lipase. Studies have found that it plays a key role in the metabolism of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs).
Synonyms:
ApoC-III ; ApoCIII; Apo C-III; Apo C III; Apolipoprotein CIII; APOC3
