Product Overview
Description:
Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (62.5-4000 pg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ADP levels with a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7 pg/mL.
Assay Principle:
This kit is based on ADP antibody-ADP antigen interaction (immunosorbent) and the HRP colorimetric detection system to detect ADP antigen targets in samples. To measure the concentration of human ADP in a sample, the ADP ELISA Kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the sample, and the operator can plot a standard curve of optical density versus human ADP concentration from the calibration standards. The concentration of the sample can then be determined by comparing the optical density of the sample to the standard curve.
Background:
ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Synonyms:
ADIPOQ; ACDC; APM1; Adipocyte C1q and collagen domain-containing protein; ACRP30; Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein; apM-1; Gelatin-binding protein; Adiponectin
