Product Overview

Description: Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL, 60 pg/mL) is a ready-to-use ELISA kit for analyzing human ADP levels with a detection range of 1.56-100 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 60 pg/mL.
Assay Principle: The assay uses an antibody specific to human ADP coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and the ADP in the samples binds to the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed, and biotinylated anti-human ADP antibody is added. After washing out the unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted into the wells. The wells are washed again, TMB substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is developed proportionally to the amount of ADP bound. The termination solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the color intensity is measured at 450 nm.
Background: ADP is an important adipokine involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, exhibiting antidiabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, and anti-inflammatory properties. It increases glucose utilization and fatty acid burning, stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in liver and skeletal muscle, and may play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling.
Synonyms: ADIPOQ; ACDC; APM1; Adipocyte C1q and collagen domain-containing protein; ACRP30; Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein; apM-1; Gelatin-binding protein; Adiponectin
Applications: Human adiponectin (ADP) ELISA kit (1.56-100 ng/mL, 60 pg/mL) is designed for the in vitro quantitative analysis of ADP levels in human cell culture supernatants, serum, plasma, and tissue homogenate samples.
