Product Overview
Description:
Chicken sterol regulatory element-binding transcription factor 1 (SREBF1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of SREBF1 in chicken samples with a range of 0.05-20 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.021 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This kit is an ELISA based on the sandwich principle. The plate is pre-coated with a chicken SREBP1 antibody. SREBP1 present in the sample binds to the immobilized antibodies, and a biotinylated chicken SREBP1 detection antibody is added to bind the captured antigen. Streptavidin-HRP is then introduced to bind the biotinylated antibody. After incubation, unbound Streptavidin-HRP is cleared away via a washing step. Substrate solution is added, and color develops in proportion to the amount of chicken SREBP1. An acidic stop solution terminates the reaction, and the absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
Background:
SREBF1 is a key regulator of intracellular lipid and cholesterol synthesis pathways. It primarily functions by controlling the expression of a series of genes involved in fatty acid, triglyceride, and cholesterol synthesis. The activity of SREBF1 is finely regulated by intracellular sterol and insulin signaling and is implicated in pathological processes such as obesity.
Synonyms:
BHLHD1; SREBP-1; Sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1; Class D basic helix-loop-helix protein 1; bHLHd1
Applications:
Chicken sterol regulatory element-binding transcription factor 1 (SREBF1) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is used to quantify SREBF1 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, and tissue homogenates of chicken, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including lipid metabolism, signal transduction, obesity, and others.
