Product Overview
Description:
Alpha-amylase and Beta-amylase activity assay kit is an enzyme activity test kit that detects AchE, in the range of 1.225-493 U/mL
Assay Principle:
Under heating conditions, reducing sugars react with 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid to form a brownish-red substance. Amylase activity can be calculated by measuring the OD value at 540 nm.
Background:
Amylase is a general term for hydrolases and glycogenases, which generally act on soluble starch, straight-chain starch, glycogen, etc., and are widely found in animals and others.
Synonyms:
Alpha-Amylase; α-amylase; 1,4-α-D-glucan glucanohydrolase; Salivary amylase (ptyalin); Beta-Amylase; β-amylase; 1,4-α-D-glucan maltohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.1; EC 3.2. 1.2
Applications:
Alpha-amylase and Beta-amylase activity assay kit is used to measure α-amylase activity in serum, saliva, plasma, and tissue samples.
