Product Overview
Description:
AdipoUpX™ Human IL1B MMLV Particle (Overexpression) is a powerful gene delivery tool designed for the stable overexpression of the human IL1B gene. As a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine, it is essential for establishing cell models that mimic the chronic inflammation seen in obese adipose tissue. Because the MMLV vector stably integrates into the genome of dividing cells, it is an ideal tool for establishing permanent cell lines for long-term signaling studies. Every batch undergoes comprehensive quality control, including titer, sterility testing, and mycoplasma detection, to ensure experimental safety and high reproducibility.
Production Cell Line:
HEK293T
Promoter:
Ubi; CMV; EF1a; Others
Product Availability:
Produced Upon Order
Specification
Titer Test:
qPCR
Insert Verification:
Complete verification of the vector genome's integrity was achieved for every viral preparation using the PCR method.
Sterility Test:
The final viral preparation was confirmed sterile after testing.
Mycoplasma Test:
Mycoplasma contamination testing met all release specifications for all product lots.
Other QC:
We also provide additional testing services tailored to specific project requirements. Additionally, we conduct customized assessments to analyze the expression levels and biological functions of genetically modified organisms.
Storage:
The product must be immediately transferred to -80 °C storage upon its arrival.
Stability:
For long-term storage, the product guarantees excellent stability for 6-12 months at -80°C. After thawing, refrigeration at 4°C allows use of the working solution for 2-3 weeks.
Shipping Condition:
Our MMLV retroviral products are shipped using dry ice.
Handling Notes:
Due to their high sensitivity to temperature fluctuations and damaging freeze-thaw cycles, viral particles should be aliquoted into low-protein-binding tubes immediately upon receipt to maintain titer and product integrity. This procedure must be conducted within a biosafety cabinet.
Intended Use:
This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnosis or therapeutic applications.
Product Disclaimer:
All products have undergone rigorous internal QC inspections as part of our company's commitment to product quality. However, due to the diversity and complexity of experimental conditions, users bear ultimate responsibility for product storage, handling, and compliance with all safety and biosafety protocols, and we offer no guarantee of product performance or experimental results in any specific application.

Summary:
IL1B encodes a cytokine from the interleukin-1 family. It is produced by activated macrophages as a proprotein and activated by caspase-1. This cytokine is a key mediator of inflammation, influencing cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. IL1B also induces COX-2 in the CNS, contributing to inflammatory pain, and is implicated in osteoarthritis. Elevated IL1B levels are observed in severe COVID-19, where they contribute to lung injury. This gene is part of a cytokine cluster with eight other interleukin-1 family genes on chromosome 2.
