Description: AdipoUpX™ Human CIDEA AAV Particle (Overexpression) has undergone comprehensive quality control and efficiently expresses the human CIDEA gene, a master regulator of lipid droplet stability and thermogenesis. This makes it an ideal tool for studying the "browning" of white adipose tissue and energy expenditure. Our platform offers highly customizable services, allowing clients to freely select from multiple AAV serotypes and cell-specific promoters for precise targeted delivery, with safety guaranteed through rigorous titer, sterility, and mycoplasma detection.

Summary: CIDEA encodes a protein homologous to murine Cidea, which has been shown to promote apoptosis under specific conditions. In animal models, loss of Cidea function results in increased energy expenditure, enhanced lipolysis in brown adipose tissue, and improved cold tolerance. These animals are resistant to diet-induced obesity and metabolic dysfunction, supporting a role for CIDEA in thermogenesis and lipid metabolism. Multiple transcript variants generated by alternative splicing have been reported.
