Product Overview
Description:
AdipoUpX™ Human ACSL1 Ad5 Adenoviral Particle (Overexpression) utilizes a highly efficient promoter for the overexpression of the human ACSL1 gene in mammalian cells. This enzyme "primes" long-chain fatty acids for either mitochondrial oxidation or triglyceride assembly, making it a critical regulator of the fat-burning versus storing balance. The product's integrity is ensured by rigorous purification and comprehensive QC (titer, sterility, and mycoplasma detection).
Production Cell Line:
HEK293
Viral Backbone:
Adenovirus type5 (dE1/E3)
Promoter:
CMV
Product Availability:
Produced Upon Order
Specification
Titer Test:
qPCR
Insert Verification:
All viral preparations have been validated via PCR to confirm the integrity of their vector genomes.
Sterility Test:
This product was confirmed to be sterile upon testing.
Mycoplasma Test:
This product has passed quality control, confirming that it is free of mycoplasma contamination.
Other QC:
We perform customized supplementary testing and in vitro/in vivo transduction assessments based on specific project requirements to analyze the expression levels and biological functions of transgenes.
Storage:
Upon receipt of viral preparations, they must be immediately transferred to a -80°C environment for long-term storage.
Stability:
The product guarantees excellent stability for 6-12 months when stored continuously at -80°C (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Upon thawing, the working solution is refrigerated at 4°C for up to 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
Shipping Condition:
Our adenovirus viral products are shipped using dry ice.
Handling Notes:
Viral particles are highly sensitive to temperature fluctuations and freeze-thaw cycles. To maintain titer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, it is recommended to aliquot the vector immediately upon receipt into low-protein-binding tubes and store according to specified conditions. Ensure all operations are performed within a biosafety cabinet.
Intended Use:
This product is intended for research use only and is not for use in diagnosis or therapeutic applications.
Product Disclaimer:
Our company is committed to product quality, and all products have undergone rigorous internal QC inspections. Given the diversity and complexity of experimental conditions, we do not guarantee product performance or experimental results in any specific application. Users bear ultimate responsibility for product storage, handling, and compliance with all safety protocols, laws, regulations, and biosafety requirements throughout all operational processes.

Summary:
ACSL1 encodes an isoform of the long-chain acyl-CoA synthetase family that catalyzes the activation of free long-chain fatty acids into fatty acyl-CoA esters. Although individual family members differ in substrate preference, intracellular localization, and tissue distribution, all serve as key regulators of lipid flux by directing fatty acids toward storage or oxidation. ACSL1 plays an important role in adipose tissue and skeletal muscle metabolism, and altered ACSL1 activity can influence lipid accumulation and insulin sensitivity in obesity. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been reported.
