Product Overview
Description:
Rat very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR) ELISA kit (2.5-50 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of VLDLR in rat samples with a range of 2.5-50 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This VLDLR ELISA kit utilizes the competitive enzyme immunoassay principle, employing a monoclonal anti-VLDLR antibody and a VLDLR-HRP conjugate. During a one-hour incubation, VLDLR from the samples and the VLDLR-HRP conjugate compete for a limited number of binding sites on the immobilized antibody. After five wash steps, an HRP substrate is introduced, producing a blue complex that turns yellow after adding the stop solution. The signal intensity, measured at 450 nm, is inversely proportional to the VLDLR concentration. The concentration for each sample is interpolated from a standard curve relating O.D. to standard concentrations.
Background:
VLDLR, situated at chromosomal location 9p24, is a multifunctional transmembrane receptor essential for the clathrin-mediated endocytosis of VLDL and the orchestration of Reelin-driven signaling pathways during nervous system development. While its genetic defects are primarily linked to CMARQ1, characterized by cerebellar hypoplasia and developmental delays, its metabolic role is critical for lipid transport and systemic cholesterol homeostasis.
Synonyms:
VLDL-R
Applications:
Rat very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDLR) ELISA kit (2.5-50 ng/mL) is used to quantify VLDLR in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid, tissue homogenate of rat, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including signal transduction, metabolic pathway, endocrinology, cardiovascular biology, hepatology, obesity, and others.
