Product Overview
Description:
Rat glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) ELISA kit (12.35-1000 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of GLP-1 in rat samples with a range of 12.35-1000 pg/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 4.67 pg/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on GLP-1 antibody-GLP-1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect GLP-1 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
GLP-1 is a peptide hormone secreted by enteroendocrine cells in the gut. It belongs to the incretin family, primarily released after meals, and regulates blood glucose and energy balance through multiple pathways. GLP-1 is considered a “satiety” hormone because it signals the brain to reduce appetite. It plays a crucial role in obesity treatment and is currently one of the most promising and effective drug targets for anti-obesity medications.
Synonyms:
GLP1; Glucagon like peptide 1; Glp1
Applications:
Rat glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) ELISA kit (12.35-1000 pg/mL) is used to quantify GLP-1 in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids of rat, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including endocrinology, cardiovascular biology, hepatology, metabolism, obesity, and others.
