Product Overview
Description:
Rat cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript (CART) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CART in rat with a range of 0.312-20 ng/mL and a specificity of 0.156 ng/mL.
Assay Principle:
The kit is based on a CART antibody-CART antigen interaction (immunosorbent) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect CART antigen targets in samples.
Background:
CART is processed by prohormone/proprotein convertases to produce smaller, biologically active peptides and is considered to be involved in the regulation of appetite and stress. Its function is closely related to the actions of Leptin and Neuropeptide Y. Mutations in the gene are associated with obesity susceptibility.
Synonyms:
CARTPT
Applications:
Rat cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript (CART) ELISA kit (0.312-20 ng/mL) is used to quantify CART in rat samples, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
