Product Overview
Description:
Rabbit agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (25-500 pg/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of AGRP in rabbit with a range of 25-500 pg/mL and a specificity of 1.0 pg/mL.
Assay Principle:
The kit is based on AGRP antibody-AGRP antigen interactions (immunosorbent) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect AGRP antigen targets in samples.
Background:
AGRP plays a role in body weight homeostasis. It participates in the control of feeding behavior via the central melanocortin system and is associated with obesity. By inhibiting the cAMP production mediated by the stimulation of melanocortin receptors in the hypothalamus and adrenal gland, it acts as an α-MSH antagonist.
Synonyms:
Agouti related protein; AGRT; ASIP2; ART
Applications:
Rabbit agouti-related protein (AGRP) ELISA kit (25-500 pg/mL) is used to quantify AGRP in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid, and tissue homogenate samples of rabbits, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
