Product Overview

Description: Pig ileal fatty acid binding protein 6 (FABP6) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of FABP6 in pig. The kit is highly specific, sensitive, and easy to use.
Assay Principle: An antibody specific for FABP6 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any FABP6 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removal of unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for FABP6 is added to the wells. After washing, streptavidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, the substrate solution is added to the wells.
Background: Ileal FABP6 is a protein highly expressed in the ileum that specifically binds and transports bile acids, playing a key role in the enterohepatic circulation.
Synonyms: Fatty acid binding protein 6, Ileal; GT; iBABP; I-BABP; I-BALB; I-BAP; ILBP; ILBP3; ILLBP; I-15P; Gastrotropin; Illeal lipid-binding protein; Ileal bile acid binding protein; Intestinal 15 kDa protein
Applications: Pig ileal fatty acid binding protein 6 (FABP6) ELISA kit is an important tool for the quantitative detection of FABP6 in various biological samples (serum, plasma, and other biological fluids) of pigs.
Research Area: Lipid metabolism; Obesity research
