Product Overview
Description:
Pig colipase (CLPS) ELISA kit (15.6-1000 mU/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of CLPS in pig with a range of 15.6-1000 mU/mL and a specificity of 3.9 mU/mL.
Assay Principle:
An antibody specific for CLPS has been pre-coated on the microtiter plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, and any CLPS present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing unbound material, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CLPS is added to the wells. After washing, avidin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. After washing to remove unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells, and the color is developed proportionally to the amount of CLPS bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped, and the intensity of the color is measured.
Background:
CLPS is a cofactor for pancreatic lipase, allowing the lipase to anchor itself to the lipid-water interface, and can counteract the inhibitory effect of intestinal bile acids on pancreatic lipase activity.
Synonyms:
Pancreatic colipase
Applications:
Pig colipase (CLPS) ELISA kit (15.6-1000 mU/mL) is used to quantify CLPS in serum, plasma, tissue homogenate samples of pig, providing data to support a wide range of studies.
