Description:
Mouse solute carrier family 2; facilitated glucose transporter member 4 (SLC2A4) ELISA kit-Quantitative sandwich is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of SLC2A4 in mouse samples with a range of 0.5-16 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.1 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on SLC2A4 antibody-SLC2A4 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SLC2A4 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
SLC2A4 is the glucose transporter GLUT4. GLUT4 is the primary glucose transporter in skeletal muscle and adipocytes, with its core function being the translocation from intracellular vesicles to the cell membrane in response to insulin or muscle contraction stimulation, thereby mediating glucose uptake. SLC2A4 represents the most direct and central molecular target of insulin resistance and is implicated in pathological processes such as obesity.
