Product Overview
Description:
Mouse NAD-dependent protein deacylase sirtuin-5; mitochondrial (SIRT5) ELISA kit is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of SIRT5 in mouse samples. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
The ELISA analytical biochemical technique is based on SIRT5 antibody-SIRT5 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect SIRT5 antigen targets in samples.
Background:
Sirtuin 5 (SIRT5) is a mitochondrial NAD+-dependent enzyme that functions primarily as a lysine demalonylase and desuccinylase, regulating the activity of target proteins including carbamoyl phosphate synthetase 1 (CPS1) to control ammonia metabolism during fasting. SIRT5 also exhibits weak deacetylase activity and can modify additional mitochondrial proteins, contributing to the regulation of metabolic and enzymatic processes within the cell.
Synonyms:
SIR2L5; Silent mating type information regulation 2 homolog 5; NAD-dependent deacylase sirtuin-5; mitochondrial; Regulatory protein SIR2 homolog 5; SIR2-like protein 5; Sirtuin 5
Applications:
Mouse NAD-dependent protein deacylase sirtuin-5, mitochondrial (SIRT5) ELISA kit is used to quantify SIRT5 in mouse samples, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including signal transduction, obesity, and others.
