Product Overview
Description:
Mouse intelectin-1 (ITLN1) ELISA kit (1-380 ng/mL) is an ELISA-based in vitro research tool designed specifically for the quantitative detection of ITLN1 in mice samples with a range of 1-380 ng/mL and a minimum detectable dose (sensitivity) of 0.57 ng/mL. The kit is highly sensitive and easy to use.
Assay Principle:
This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with Mouse ITLN1/Omentin antibody. ITLN1/Omentin present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated Mouse ITLN1/Omentin Antibody is added and binds to ITLN1/Omentin in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated ITLN1/Omentin antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of Mouse ITLN1/Omentin. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
Background:
ITLN1 is a secreted protein belonging to the lectin family, primarily secreted by cells within the vascular components of visceral adipose tissue stroma. In healthy individuals, elevated ITLN1 levels contribute to enhanced insulin sensitivity; however, circulating ITLN1 levels are typically markedly reduced in individuals with abdominal obesity and insulin resistance. Consequently, ITLN1 is considered a potential biomarker for assessing metabolic health and the degree of insulin resistance.
Synonyms:
HL1; LFR; HL-1; INTL; ITLN; hIntL; Omentin; Endothelial lectin HL-1; Galactofuranose-binding lectin; Intestinal lactoferrin receptor
Applications:
Mouse intelectin-1 (ITLN1) ELISA kit (1-380 ng/mL) is used to quantify ITLN1 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates, and tissue homogenates of mouse, providing data to support research in a wide range of areas, including inflammation, obesity, etc.
